Why people pick the 3 Series Touring 330i xDrive M Sport Pro

  • 245 hp, all-wheel drive, wagon trunk. The do-everything car.
  • Available in black or grey.

Who the 3 Series Touring 330i xDrive suits

The 330i xDrive Touring is the do-everything car in our fleet. It combines the 3 Series Touring body, with about 500 litres of boot space and an opening rear window, with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol, 245 hp, automatic gearbox and xDrive all-wheel drive.

It suits families and active people who want one car for everything: school runs, a PCS move, ski trips and a fast Autobahn drive when you are late for a flight. All-wheel drive makes it much more confident in snow than the rear-wheel-drive 320d Touring, and the wagon body stays lower and more efficient than an SUV with the same space.

The 330i xDrive Touring is the answer when a household cannot agree on what kind of car it needs. One partner wants space for a PCS move and ski gear, the other wants something quick for the Autobahn, and nobody wants to worry about snow on the hill up to housing. The petrol engine is happy with short runs to the Child Development Center and the gym, xDrive handles the winter, and the wagon body swallows the rest. It is also a strong choice if you expect visitors from the States: airport runs with luggage, day trips to castles and a comfortable cruise to Prague or Salzburg.

The petrol engine is smooth and suits drivers who mix short and long trips. If most of your driving is long motorway distance, the 320d Touring or the 520d xDrive Touring will use less fuel. Our 330i xDrive Tourings come in black or grey. If you want an even bigger boot and more rear legroom, the 5 Series Touring is the next step up; if you want the same power in a coupé-like body, look at the 4 Series Gran Coupé 430i xDrive at the same price.

Questions

What is included in the monthly price?

Fully comprehensive and partial cover with a EUR 1,500 deductible, registration, German plates and road tax, maintenance and service, seasonal tyres, 3,000 km a month and a PCS clause. There is no setup fee. VAT forms accepted. You add fuel.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, three months' rent of your plan: €4,647 on the 6-month plan and on the 30-day plan incl. VAT, €3,906 on the 30-day plan with a VAT form (NF-1), VAT-free. You pay it on site at handover, not online. You get the deposit back immediately at the return, as soon as the return report shows no damage. There is no down payment. For customers resident in Germany we run a credit check with SCHUFA Holding AG before the contract starts. If the result is negative, we may decline the booking; anything already paid is refunded in full.

Is the 330i xDrive Touring petrol or diesel?

Petrol: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol with 245 hp, an automatic gearbox and xDrive all-wheel drive. If most of your driving is long motorway distance, the diesel 320d Touring or 520d xDrive Touring uses less fuel.

330i xDrive Touring or 4 Series Gran Coupé?

Same engine, same all-wheel drive, different bodies. The Touring is the wagon with the bigger, more practical load space; the 4 Series Gran Coupé has a sloping coupé roof, four doors and a large tailgate. For skis, dogs and moves, pick the Touring.

How big is the boot of the 330i xDrive Touring?

500 litres with all seats in use, up to 1,510 litres with the rear seats folded (figures from BMW, 330i xDrive Touring Steptronic). That is 30 litres more than the 4 Series Gran Coupé (470 litres).

How much fuel does the 330i xDrive Touring use?

Officially 7.3–8.0 litres of petrol per 100 km combined, with combined CO₂ emissions of 164–181 g/km and CO₂ class F–G (WLTP, figures from BMW, 330i xDrive Touring Steptronic). The range depends on the equipment. WLTP is a test value; your own figure depends on how you drive.

How fast is the 330i xDrive Touring?

0 to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h, according to BMW (330i xDrive Touring Steptronic).

How much can the 330i xDrive Touring tow?

Up to 1,800 kg braked at a 12 % gradient, according to BMW (330i xDrive Touring Steptronic). A hitch depends on the concrete car: request it at booking, we confirm by email.

More answers on PCS orders and on extra kilometres, cancelling and breakdowns are in the Q&A. The binding rules are in the terms (AGB).
