Can I rent a car near Grafenwoehr without a SCHUFA or German credit history?
Yes. SubYourCar was built for U.S. service members stationed at Tower Barracks (USAG Bavaria). We do not run a SCHUFA check. You need a valid driver's license, your ID card and a refundable deposit — that's it.
Do you deliver to Tower Barracks (USAG Bavaria)?
We deliver to the Grafenwöhr / Vilseck / Hohenfels area for €79, or you can pick up in Weiden in der Oberpfalz for free. Collection at the end of your term is always included.
What is the minimum age to rent?
18. Drivers under 25 pay a young-driver surcharge, shown transparently before you book. Some higher-powered vehicles carry a higher minimum age set by our insurer.
Can I use my U.S. driver's license?
SOFA-status personnel drive in Germany with a U.S. license plus their USAREUR-AF certificate of license. Bring both to the handover.
What happens if I get PCS or deployment orders?
Our contracts include an early-termination clause for official orders. Show us the orders, hand back the keys, and the subscription ends — no resale, no lemon lot.
Is insurance included?
Yes — liability and full comprehensive insurance, German registration, road tax, maintenance and seasonal tires are all included in the monthly price. You can reduce the deductible to zero for a monthly add-on.
